YRAM is looking for a highly skilled Pattern Cutter & Garment Technician to support the development and production of garments for the brand.

The role will involve working from my designs and sketches to develop accurate patterns and bring the garments to life. This may include creating initial patterns, developing toiles, making adjustments based on fit, and constructing the final garments to a high standard.

This is a freelance, flexible role with work being carried out remotely. You will need access to your own sewing equipment and machinery, either from a home studio or another suitable workspace.

YRAM is based in London but is open to working with someone based anywhere in England, provided they are within a reasonable travelling distance from London.

Key Responsibilities of the Pattern Cutter & Garment Technician:

• Developing patterns from fashion sketches/design concepts
• Creating toiles and prototypes where required
• Making pattern and fit adjustments 
• Cutting and constructing garments
• Working with a range of fabrics and garment types
• Advising on construction methods and technical solutions where appropriate
• Maintaining a high standard of sewing and garment finishing
• Communicating with me throughout the development process
• Making amendments and refinements to garments as required

What YRAM is looking for:

• Strong pattern-cutting skills
• Strong sewing and garment-construction skills
• Experience making samples or one-off garments
• Good understanding of garment fit, construction and finishing
• Access to your own sewing machine(s) and suitable workspace
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time
• Good communication and attention to detail
• A genuine interest in fashion and garment development
