About: Harper is a disruptive fashion technology startup that’s pioneering the shopping experience of the future. On a mission to make dressing well effortless, our team of mobile style concierge deliver the instore shopping experience to customers at home. Our signature service lets customers design their own personal shopping experience from our range of services which include styling, alterations and you try, we wait.

Harper is an exciting start-up that's reimagining the shopping experience for the digital age. See the service in action at Harperconcierge.com.

Harper empowers its partners, who include Amanda Wakeley, Mary Katrantzou and ASCENO among others to deliver the boutique shopping experience to their customer’s homes. The team is expanding with the launches of a number of high profile brands through 2019.

The Role:

We’re seeking a personable, hardworking and dynamic luxury sales professional to join our tight-knit and growing team. You’ll be the type of person who’s excited by the prospect of joining an energetic start-up and embraces the challenges that comes with making positive change.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Confident and warm personality with the ability to quickly establish genuine relationships.
  • Dynamic approach with the ability to think on your feet and independently solve problems when they arise.
  • Immaculate personal presentation skills and the willingness to act as a brand ambassador.
  • Strong knowledge of the luxury fashion industry with an appreciation for both womenswear and menswear.
  • Authentic seller with a customer first approach and a passion for service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ambitious self-starter with the drive to hit targets and achieve goals.
  • Flexible and able to work evenings and weekends when required.
  • Must hold a valid UK driving license.

Typical Day:

Every day is different which is what makes the Style Concierge role so exciting.  One day could be running a Donna Ida pop-up, the next could be assisting at a social media shoot or attending brand training with one of Harper’s luxury brand partners.  Days are dictated by how many appointments are booked in and at what times. During quieter periods you will be in the office with the rest of the team either helping to build Harper’s social presence, messaging clients, preparing garments, arranging stock to be sent back, organising events or brainstorming ideas to attract new customers.

  • 8.30am: Jump on the Jubilee line to Dollis Hill to start your day with the team at Harper HQ.
  • 9.00am: Get ready for the day’s appointments by preparing your customer’s pieces so they’re pristine and ready to try on.
  • 9.30am: Tune in your morning playlist and jump in one of Harper’s branded vans driving to your first appointment.
  • 10.00am: Meet your first customer. This is their first time using Harper, so explain how the service works and aim to quickly establish a strong relationship.
  • 10.40am: With your assistance, the customer has decided to buy a full look. Take payment for this and take the rest of the pieces off their hands.
  • 11.00am: On to customer number two. This time the customer has selected to try alone so after introducing yourself at the door, simply hand over the pieces and use the 40 minute break to message some of your other customers to see if they’d like to try on a couple of looks you’ve found for them.
  • 11.40am: Time to check back in with your customer. One piece they like is slightly too big so see if you can help pin an alteration or book another appointment to try the smaller size.
  • 12.00pm: Carry out your remaining appointments filling any gaps with clienteling activity and grabbing some lunch during your hour break.
  • 6.00pm: It’s been a challenging but rewarding day. Tune in your unwind playlist and make your way back to Harper HQ to drop off any unwanted pieces.

On offer:

  • Competitive salary with bonus structure.
  • Shares in a high growth start-up.
  • Excellent employee perks including clothing allowance per season and health and beauty discounts.
  • An energetic and friendly working environment.
  • Expert styling training and seasonal refresher workshops.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £22,000.00 to £29,000.00 /year
