We are currently seeking a Press Assistant to join our growing MCQ London team.

Your Opportunity:

MCQ are looking for a highly talented candidate to support all day-to-day press and marketing activities as a key part of the communications team. Reporting to PR Manager daily and liaising with press, publications, influencers, and collaborators to ensure a wide range of coverage and a clear brand message with appropriate associations. Ideal candidate is a collaborative and highly organised, independent worker with experience in an in-house or agency role.

How you will contribute:

  • Manage press office and press samples with LaunchMetrics system
  • Liaise with Social Coordinator on daily press achieved and management of press reports
  • Manage all send-outs, local and global with mail room
  • Handle credit requests, press enquiries
  • Ability to pitch product and news stories
  • Work with PR Manager and VIP Coordinator to identify and target appropriate influencers, celebrities and dressing opportunities
  • Manage all gifting and invitations with support of Comms team
  • Research new trends and industry news to have a current and up-to-date strategy in place at all times
  • Relaying information to team on daily news stories, events and consumer press
  • Distribution of lookbooks and all other brand assets internally and externally
  • Ensure all contacts in database are up-to-date and organised
  • Creation of reports and presentations for clients and internal use
  • Support PR Manager in end of season reports
  • Assist all brand events
  • Professional and ad-hoc help within team, aiding in all general communications office admin duties
  • Manage calendar and appointments with PR Manager for meetings, stylist showroom visits, collaborators
  • Working fluidly with wholesale team, production teams, design department.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in fashion/sportswear press office
  • FashionGPS & LaunchMetrics fluent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Pro-active and uses initiative to work independently
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and manage deadlines
  • Strong written skills and communication with global contacts
  • Good presentation skills
  • Ability to network and strengthen new and existing relationships along with PR Manager
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards all tasks
