We are looking for a Product Assistant to support product management in a varied and fast-paced role.  This role would suit someone looking for an exciting opportunity in an innovative, diverse, and creative business. The successful candidate will be a concise communicator with high attention to detail and a keen enthusiasm to get involved.  The Product Assistant will be assisting the Product Manager with the product development and production lifecycle – concept to delivery

Responsibilities include supporting with the production process – such as, but not limited to, sourcing…

  • Supplier liaising
  • Obtaining costs, lead-times, and MOQ’s
  • Create and update Purchase Orders for samples and production
  • Track and chase payments and invoice reconciliations
  • Track and maintaining sample logs and storage
  • Ensuring all critical paths are updated – monitoring timelines and providing alerts/reminders, when needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining the product filing system
  • Assist with researching and supplier sourcing
  • Monitor incoming deliveries and inventory
  • Organise collection and deliveries and request shipping quotations
  • Assist with Quality Controlling incoming products
  • Prepare and attend meetings, as needed
  • Basic holiday cover

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ similar product or production assistant role experience
  • Confident and proficient Microsoft Excel user
  • Ability to address tasks quickly once assigned with constant and diligent follow-ups until tasks are complete
  • Skilled multi-tasker with high attention to detail with the ability to understand verbally assigned tasks
  • Background in apparel - woven and/or knitwear
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style
  • Experienced in researching suppliers and making first contact with new suppliers
  • Self-starter, proactive and willing to roll sleeves up, and work under their own initiative
