Key Purpose of Job:

The Supply Chain function is embedding new ways of working into the Product Development department and this fixed term contract role will play a key part in ensuring a smooth transition of work. Working as part of the product Development Team, this role is responsible for collating, updating and maintaining all data related to products and product classification in a timely and accurate manner. This position is a FTC

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain close working relationships with Pentland Asia and sourcing agents to ensure accurate product composition is provided into the Footwear Product Development team
  • Providing Product Classifications to Pentland Shipping to enable accurate import/export duties e.g. allocation of commodity codes by style
  • Providing Ted Baker (and other brands as required) product detail for use within their own systems and online, examples being, specific leather and material types and split by component (upper/sock/lining/sole)
  • Requesting and uploading Factory FOB prices
  • Along with the Materials management team manage material and colour confirmation and sign-off process, creating and maintaining Product & swatch libraries
  • Manage the product development, development sample process of receipt, checking (against spec) and distribution of all development samples
  • Payment of courier invoices for sample development

 
Needs to have:

  • SAP experience is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
  • Involvement/skill-set in process improvement and lean thinking desired
  • Experience in the footwear industry is desirable
  • Excellent written communication skills
