About: Good Squish is an independent London label making handmade hair accessories, founded in East London in 2021.

Welcome to Good Squish. We are an independent London fashion brand at the forefront of the hair accessory revolution, born from a passion for creativity, community and the joy of self-expression. We have built an active, friendly community as passionate about fashion as we are about creating a positive and inclusive environment.

Now entering our next phase of growth, Good Squish are looking for someone to coordinate the day-to-day running of production, from sourcing and suppliers right through to quality checks and delivery.  The Production Coordinator will keep everything moving, spot issues before they become problems, and make the calls that keep us on schedule.  This is not a junior coordinator role.

Based in London, the Production Coordinator will work closely with the founder; therefore, suitable applicants will be confident working independently across suppliers, factories, sourcing, QC, and deliveries without close management.

What the Production Coordinator will do day-to-day:

  • Own the production process end to end, from planning and sourcing through to manufacturing and delivery
  • Manage fabric and trim sourcing, and keep inventory levels under control
  • Build strong relationships with our manufacturers and suppliers, and negotiate terms that balance cost and quality
  • Manage production timelines and hold suppliers to them
  • Liaise with our factories in the UK and overseas to keep production on schedule
  • Uphold and refine our quality control processes
  • Oversee sample making and fittings
  • Book and track deliveries and shipments
  • Keep all production spreadsheets accurate and up to date
  • Spot issues early and come to us with solutions, not just problems

What Good Squish is looking for:

  • At least 3 years' experience working in fashion production or a very similar role
  • A genuine understanding of the fashion production cycle
  • Confident negotiating with suppliers and manufacturers
  • Strong with Google Sheets and comfortable with production systems
  • Hands-on, practical and calm when things go wrong
  • Happy in a small, fast-moving business where no two weeks look the same
  • Cares about doing things properly and ethically

Who the Production Coordinator role might suit…

This could work well for someone freelance who works across a few brands, someone returning to work who wants a substantial part-time role, or an experienced production person who would rather do three good days somewhere they can actually shape things than five somewhere they cannot.

What Good Squish offers

A creative studio on Hackney Road, real influence over how the brand is made, and the chance to build the production side of a growing independent label properly rather than inheriting someone else's system.
