Supplying accurate first patterns, specification sheets and tech-packs ready for manufacture with no minimum order requirements in-house in our London based sampling studio. Sample Studio tailors to all aspects of construction to the specific needs of each of our clients, taking into consideration price point, market level and garment type. We are trusted within the industry by independent start ups, high street and niche retailers as well as ready to wear and bridal designers. Our full service range includes; product development, technical advice, creative pattern and cutting, pattern amendments, toiling, fit sessions, pre-production sampling, and manufacturing small runs in our UK London studio.

Great opportunity to join a successful sampling manufacturer. Working on their biggest customer accounts, including a well know high street retailer, supplying private label garments across multiple product categories, as well as stock lines.  The position requires someone to take real ownership of all processes relating to these important customer accounts, working alongside the Sales team you will be manging the products journey from the point of sale onward through to its delivery.  I am looking for someone who is self-motivated with a positive attitude, ideally from a fast fashion backgroun.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Manage the critical path for all projects
  • Manage the sample flow and approval process
  • Liaise with the clients and sample studio team
  • Liaise with sourcing ensuring all components are received/ordered
  • Liaise with client coordinator to manage new orders and ensure delivery dates are met.
  • Hold bi - weekly critical path meetings to identify any issues that may impact delivery dates, and communicate to the team to speed up the processes where needed.
  • Liaising with the team to discuss production issues and look for ways to improvement.
  • Keep customer updated on order progress, advise of intake delays and request extensions.
  • General managing of the account and working with sales, design and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of orders. 

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role is essential
  • You will be self-motivated with excellent communication skills
  • You will be confident managing the critical path, liaising with internal teams and being customer facing.
  • You will be organised and methodical with knowledge of Excel and strong numerical skills
  • This is a fast paced, exciting role, the ability to prioritise and manage workloads is key.
  • Candidate will considered from varying levels of experience from have 1 to 5 years+
  • A good team player, with a positive attitude to their work and is adaptable to new challenges
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • CAD knowledge (desirable but not essential)
  • Able to effectively deal with any issues that may arise during the production process and resolve these with suppliers.
  • Must have experience of building successful relationships with suppliers, keeping orders on time and trouble shooting on a daily basis.
