Job Purpose:

Browns are looking for an engaging and approachable Receptionist with loads of initiative to join our vibrant head-office in the heart of Old Street. As a true brand ambassador for Browns Fashion, you will be passionate about delivering the highest standards of service. Being the first point of contact for visitors and Browns team members, you will have a flair for creating a comfortable and welcoming environment, and lend your hand towards wider office maintenance to ensure its smooth running.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership and oversee the day to day running of the reception and maintain strong awareness of how the wider office is functioning and maintained.
  • Welcome and engage with all incoming visitors including Browns team members in a professional and friendly manner that reflects the Browns values and delivers the best possible experience.
  • Take pride in basic upkeep of the standards and presentation of the office, including meeting rooms, bathrooms and kitchen area.
  • Manage the ordering, placement and storage of all food, beverage & stationery, including breakfast items and snacks on a daily basis.
  • Oversee all post and deliveries both incoming (collect, sort, distribute) and outgoing (including courier management).
  • Be in the know! Maintain strong awareness of what’s happening within the head office and across the wider business to ensure you are informed and prepared to support if required.
  • Maintain strong health and safety awareness ensuring Browns are compliant and any H&S risk is removed. 

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Positive attitude, good common sense and full of initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organised, with excellent time management.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly, and adapt to your audience. 
  • Keen eye for detail to maintain reception and office standards.
  • Solutions focused – think differently and challenge to allow for the best outcomes.
  • Flexible in approach, showing initiative and interest to support ad-hoc tasks.
  • Strong IT skills including Outlook & Microsoft package.
  • Can deal with sensitive matters in a discrete and confidential manner.
