About: Established in 2009, Crew à la Mode is an apparel and lifestyle agency, supplying luxury performance clothing and lifestyle solutions for crew and staff on super yachts, private aviation, hotels, villas and private residences.

From our Head Office in London, our project management team source luxury yacht crew clothing and uniform from core suppliers, with our offering extending to our consciously produced in-house luxury crew clothing range CALM by CREW. In 2021 Crew à la Mode migrated the warehouse and distribution operations from London to Portugal.

We have an informal working environment and a core principle to provide an outstanding service.

We are looking for a Senior Designer who can work across both menswear and womenswear, and who has experience with athletic clothing.  If you enjoy working in a creative, fast-paced environment, then we would love to hear from you!

We are a premium yacht wear brand that is focused on excellent quality garments, which perform like sportswear but are suited to be worn in some of the most exclusive places in the world. We design and produce all samples in Portugal and are looking to work locally in London as well.

We are offering a position for an experienced Designer to work with us on a project basis on developing new products for our range.  You will be working closely with our Founder, the Creative Director and Design team to create capsule collections. You will have the opportunity to design and create a wide range of garments including woven separates, jersey, swimwear, accessories and outerwear. 

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and team-oriented individual with a strong design sense, new technology awareness, and industry knowledge.

Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop flat sketches and detailed tech packs.
  • CAD up approved sketches in Illustrator.
  • Participate in research and identifying, industry, fabric, technique, trim and technology trends
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with team members
  • Support sample teams by ensuring they have all information needed to develop products.


  • At least 5 years' related experience with excellent technical knowledge
  • Strong with colour, fabric, and garment construction
  • Excellent in communication, organisation, and time management skills
  • Proactive, professional, flexible and able to multi-task
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop and basic Google workspace.
