The Senior Trend and Product Manager will oversee the Forecast Content and Client Projects teams. Reporting into the Founder and CEO, you will be responsible for collaboratively setting the creative direction and managing the forecast content for the website, as well as overseeing the creative planning and delivery of bespoke client projects to meet customer demand.

The role involves developing and executing high level trend directions for both the website and clients in line with their needs. An essential part of the role is to have an exceptional ability to research and understand consumer driven mindsets, as well as to identify and understand seasonal trends and their application in product ranges in detail. The person needs to have the ability to execute this understanding into highly professional informative and inspirational content that demonstrates trend expertise, through exceptional art direction, image curation and text readability. As a team leader, talent development and ensuring the team executes work to a high and consistent quality is a crucial aspect of the role.

The role also requires the confident and professional presentation of project work to clients and the ability to discuss and understand their needs from a business strategic as well as tactical perspective.

Overseeing both the Forecast Content and Client Projects teams, an important aspect of the role will be to create cohesive content across both platforms, helping to drive the research effort efficiency ensuring the same trend directions are used where possible and to create a general red thread between the client projects and website content.

The person will need:

  • At least 6 years’ experience in a Senior Design role with recognised international brand
  • Diverse international experience in trend forecasting and commercial brand design (United States, Europe, Asia Pacific)
  • Exceptional team leadership and project management experience
  • A degree level education in Fashion
  • A great eye for trends, able to recognise both commerciality and newness
  • Exceptional ability in consumer research, art direction and image curation
  • Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • High quality research, editing & design skills along with the ability to CAD draw
  • Ultra-fast digital skills, including creative presentation skills and in-depth knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
  • Demonstrable expertise in taking and giving briefings and keeping accurate records
  • A strong ability to understand the client and their needs. Thorough understanding and experience of how to translate trends and range build for brands and retailers is a must
  • To be a responsible and proactive team member and a decisive and effective worker
  • Have a thorough knowledge of apparel, footwear and accessories styles and terminology
  • Excellent spoken and written skills with meticulous spelling and proof reading ability
  • Good people skills for building relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and make well-informed decisions
  • Self-motivated and able to think on your feet, and work as part of a team
