We are looking for an amazing part-timer to assist our team in teaching our shoemaking workshops on both weekdays and weekends from our studio in Bethnal Green, London. On-the-job training is provided, but shoemaking experience is essential.

Whilst the initial training will be provided between Monday - Friday there may be weekend work required, so please don't apply if working weekends are off-limits for you.

We're looking for someone who has recently graduated from a shoemaking course to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is super varied, so you'll never be bored! Let's dive into what's required…

What I Can Make Shoes is looking for…

Required:

  • Shoemaking experience - Good understanding of footwear construction, patternmaking and materials/ components
  • Exceptionally organised and have strong communication skills
  • Happy to work independently
  • Friendly, positive attitude and are optimistic/not afraid of a challenge
  • Understand the nuances of life in a small business and are happy to roll up your sleeves: no job is too big, or too small.
  • Resourceful and willing to find creative ways to problem-solve.

Advantageous:

  • Have a keen eye for footwear design, footwear trends, photography and graphics
