The Showroom Manager role is at the heart of our Campaigns division and is an instrumental position in the day to day running of the department. The Exposure showroom is the basis of our PR function and the face of the agency.

The Showroom Manager needs to be proactive, solutions driven, incredibly organised and have the foresight to address any issues before they arise.  The Showroom Manager will work closely with Account Executives and Interns to ensure the collections are managed efficiently and the showroom space is visually merchandised, whilst supporting the team during fashion week events and seasonal press days.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Overall management of the showroom function and maintenance of the space including merchandising, layout, stock levels, seasonal collection change-over and organisation of sample return to clients
  • Management of interns including relevant training
  • Work in conjunction with HR to ensure successful recruitment and retention of intern team
  • Day to day liaison with Account Executives and wider account teams to ensure client requirements are met
  • Sample management; including inventory, sample movement, returns, reservations and sample requests through Fashion GPS
  • Understand and run the Fashion GPS system - ensure the fashion team are aware of all its functions, as well as successfully training freelancers and interns on sample management
  • Regular contact with stylists and fashion cupboards to ensure all samples are returned swiftly and efficiently
  • Schedule and host showroom appointments with editors/stylists and record insights with the team that relate to opportunities
  • Ensuring samples delivered incorrectly to Exposure are returned promptly to maintain our positive reputation
  • Booking couriers, monitoring costs and updating finance team on a regular basis
  • Management of agency media database
  • Manage Fashion Week invite preparation, including invite send-outs, show pack presentations and Intern schedules for shows. Communication with senior teams is essential
  • Assist with press day organisation and coordination including; working alongside the events team to plan execute and working with senior team to co-ordinate new season samples
  • Offer creative and proactive ideas for processes that improve the efficiency and effectiveness the showroom function

Media Management & Creativity

  • Coordinate the delivery of newspapers and magazines, physically and digitally
  • Manage the allocation of newspapers and magazines to ensure all publications are read by the wider team
  • Manage relationships with newsagents to ensure timely deliveries and manage logins for online media subscriptions
  • Maintain and prospect relationships with existing and new media contacts, and ensure continuous development of relationships
  • Ensure the agency’s fashion media / industry contacts are kept up-to-date
  • Ensure interns are monitoring media daily including newspapers, magazines, broadcast and online channels for opportunities for clients and keeping abreast of competitor news

Writing & Reporting

  • Ensure regular internal meetings take place with Account Executives, Fashion Account Interns and showroom interns and responsibilities established at the start of each working week
  • Manage the delivery of weekly / monthly showroom appointment reports to Account Executives flagging highlights, learnings and proactive next steps

  • Generate one idea every two months that will help encourage showroom output and efficiency
  • Effectively manage planning and execution of press days (supported by the Fashion and events team)
  • Ensure all media lists are thoroughly kept up to date
  • Demonstrate effective management skills, through hiring, training and retention of showroom interns
  • Demonstrate structure and effective processes by initiating regular meetings with Account Executives and line manager that are beneficial and thought provoking
  • Ensure showroom is kept pristine and merchandised well, alongside efficient management of stock levels
