About: Dress 2 Party is an independently owned leading UK evening wear and occasion wear retailer. Founded 11 years ago by two childhood friends, it has become the go to place for celebrities, influencers and those in the know looking to find the perfect gown for a special event. The flagship central london store (located directly behind Selfridges) is a favourite shopping destination for tourists from all over the world looking for an evening dress, and where you can often find one or both of the business owners delving in to advise customers on making their selections.

Dress2Party is looking for a reliable, organised, proactive Studio Assistant to support the design and development team in the Hackney studio.

The role is one day per week with optional increased hours during busy periods.

The Studio Assistant's tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Photographing and documenting development samples as they arrive
  • Supporting with CADs and technical drawings
  • Steaming and measuring fit samples in preparation for fit and development meetings 
  • Occasional minor sewing amendments, industrial sewing machine experience is desirable 
  • Assisting with studio organisation 
  • Assisting with deliveries and returns

What Dress2Party is looking for:

  • Proficient with Excel, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Interest in product development 
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help across different tasks
  • The right to work in the UK
