By Walid is looking for a Studio Assistant to join the team in Hammersmith, London.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Design Team to source and order fabrics, trimmings, embroideries, and any other items requested by the Design Team to create the sampling collection and fulfil production orders.

What the Studio Assistant will be doing:

• Support seasonal collections across menswear, womenswear, homeware, childrenswear, and private clients
• Maintain clear, up‑to‑date records for stock, materials, and homeware (including wholesale and retail PDFs)
• Assist with seasonal line sheets, pattern updates, and material records (fabrics, trimmings, linings)
• Help organise digital photography and manage digital files by season
• Support online product drops and customer orders
• Assist with pattern cutting and updating existing patterns
• Help manage materials, stock levels, packaging, and general studio organisation
• Work to deadlines across production, shipping, and internal studio schedules
• Assist with courier bookings, shipping paperwork, and factory liaison (training provided)
• Support quality control and packing of garments and textiles
• Independently support print/textile projects when assigned, with guidance

• A graduate or an interest in fashion and textiles
• Strong knowledge of pattern cutting and garment construction
• Good taste and creativity levels
• Comfortable working in a busy atelier where tasks are varied and interconnected
• Good communicator and open to challenges
• Organised, reliable, and keen to learn in a hands‑on studio environment
• Detail‑focused with good timekeeping and a positive, proactive attitude
• Ability to respond to any brief and take direction.
• Able to work independently or within a team.
• Able to successfully commute and attend work in Hammersmith
