We are looking for a creative, hard-working and innovative Studio & Production Assistant to join Saluto London to help with the production of our reworked collection. The role is based at our Battersea studio and will start at 8-12 hours a week. 

Our business is growing and it’s an incredibly exciting time for the brand.  The role will mainly involve helping with production but applicants must be open to helping with other tasks such as cutting, packing orders, social media, photography, general administrative tasks etc.  There may be opportunities to help with designing/pattern cutting/sourcing etc., in the future.  This will be quite a multi-faceted role but we are hoping to find someone to stick with us for the long run as we hope to open up a more permanent position for the right person soon!

The role's hours are 8-12 per week.  This may increase over time, but we can also be flexible with when you work, so you could do two afternoons/mornings a week, for example.  Pay is the London Living Wage, which again, we hope to increase over time!

Requirements:

• Talented sewer with an excellent eye for detail and a passion for sustainability, colour and print!
• Exceptional understanding of garment construction and sewing machinery
• Incredibly driven, friendly and has a can-do approach.
• Great problem solver and thinks outside of the box - each piece is one-of-a-kind and so this is a great role for someone with lots of ideas.
• Able to work well under pressure - our turnaround times are quick and there is little room for error
• Works well in a collaborative manner!

Beneficial:

• Some form of pattern cutting experience would be ideal!
