Phoebe Philo is looking for a Tech Pack Assistant to join the Atelier team in London, playing a key role in maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency from development through to production.
The successful applicant will support the Design and Product Development teams by translating creative concepts into accurate, detailed technical documentation, ensuring that all technical files, patterns, and construction details are aligned and coherent across the collection and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities of the Tech Pack Assistant
Collection & Development:
Translate the design team’s creative vision into clear and precise technical documents used by seamstresses, modelists, and factories.
Collaborate closely with pattern makers and modelists to ensure all patterns meet the technical file requirements.
Maintain a global overview of finishing details across the collection, ensuring coherence in construction and workmanship between styles.
Support the standardisation of construction methods and finishing techniques across the range.
Keep the pattern and technical file library up to date, ensuring easy access to base patterns and references for future developments.
Assist in organising and archiving all technical documentation for efficient team use.
Normalisation & Production Support
Review showroom samples against existing technical files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Update technical documents when discrepancies are found between samples and original specifications.
Ensure all tech packs are production-ready, clear, and accurate before being sent to the production team.
Act as a point of support between development and production teams to clarify construction details when needed.
What Phoebe Philo is looking for:
Experience in a similar role within fashion or apparel development.
Education in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Pattern Making, or a related field.
Familiarity with tech pack creation tools, e.g., Illustrator, PLM systems and Excel
Understanding of production workflows and factory requirements.
Strong understanding of garment construction, finishing techniques, and pattern development.
Ability to translate creative ideas into structured, technical documentation.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong communication skills to liaise between designers, pattern makers, and production teams.
Proactive mindset with a problem-solving approach.
