Working with our Product, Merchandising and Partners we are looking for a Wholesale Product Assistant for our Menswear team to report to our Wholesale Manager to support the team.
 
Job Purpose

To support the Assistant Account Manager and Account Manager with the sell-in of RI product ranges to Wholesale partners, managing day to day activities and administrative tasks.

This role is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract.
 
Responsibilities:

Wholesale Preparation

  • Provide support during Wholesale weeks and trade preparation by creating partner order packs, ensure all information is completed to the highest standard.
  • Assist in partner wholesale week meetings (e.g. product rack up, presenting trends, meeting notes and actions)

Order Processing

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Wholesale partner orders (new season collections and trade). Follow through with B&M teams to ensure orders are placed with the supplier and delivery dates maintained.

Purchase Order Management

  • Ownership of all Wholesale partners purchase orders; tracking, updating and managing any partner queries. Keeping the Assistant Account Manager and Account Manager well informed and escalating any concerns.
  • Data & Information Management
  • Ensure all product information is enriched and maintained within the Wholesale central database (incl. fabric compositions, product codes, delivery weeks, cancellations and replacements).
  • Update and maintain the visual commitment tracker and share with partners on a regular basis.

Relationship Management (internal and external)

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Wholesale partners and B&M teams through effective communication and sharing of information. Resolve daily queries from both internal and external contacts and escalate any complex
  • queries in a timely manner to the Assistant Account Manager.

Cancellation Management

  • Work collaboratively with B&M and Wholesale Allocators to minimise the risk of product cancellations and find alternative replacements. Provide clear and concise cancellation updates to the Assistant Account Manager, escalating concerns where relevant.

Showroom Guardian

  • Maintain standards of the showroom at all times; ensure mannequins are dressed in the latest seasonal outfits and the showroom is kept tidy and clean pre and post Wholesale meetings.

Sample Management

  • Monitor and track all incoming/outgoing samples both internally (e.g. Wholesale weeks) and externally (e.g. partner marketing opportunities).
  • Partner Sales Performance
  • Monitor and review partner performance on a weekly basis; understand the best and worst performing departments and products.
  • Prepare visual best sellers by partner (weekly, quarterly, seasonal).
  • Competitor and Market Knowledge
  • Produce trend and competitor shopping reports to develop and maintain a good commercial understanding of the market.

 
The Person:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to communicate across internal and external partners
  • A flexible approach and attitude and comfortable working in a challenging and changing environment.
  • Highly organised in order to juggle a changing workload and meet deadlines
  • An analytical approach to review data and to inform better business decisions

 
The ideal candidate will also possess Marketplace knowledge or experience, where they will be involved in:

  • All aspects of launching new product across RI's International Marketplaces 
  • Assisting in the onboarding on new products via RI's third party integrator and the coordinating of RI's selling imagery 
  • Processing and reviewing Marketplace rejections, where Partners/ the Markets have varying data/ product enrichment requirements 
  • Daily monitoring of RI product online across all product categories to identify and resolve any issues, ensuring products are displayed to the highest standards, amending and improving detail/information as required 
  • Work with a focus to maximise the commercial goals of the Marketplace Department
