Raishma is looking for an experienced Women's Knitwear Designer to support the design and development process from concept through to finished product, working closely with the Raishma team to create commercially strong, elevated women's wear pieces aligned with the brand aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities of the Women's Knitwear Designer:

• Design and develop elevated women's knitwear concepts in line with the Raishma brand identity.
• Create moodboards, sketches, CADs and design packs where required.
• Research seasonal trends, yarns, colours, textures and silhouettes relevant to premium womenswear.
• Support with knitwear shape development, stitch ideas, trims, finishes and garment detailing.
• Work with the team to develop commercially viable pieces suitable for the Raishma customer.
• Assist with sample comments, fit feedback and design refinements where needed.
• Ensure designs feel premium, feminine and aligned with the overall collection direction.

What Raishma is looking for…

Required:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in womenswear fashion design, with a focus or strong understanding of knitwear.
• Strong eye for colour, silhouette, proportion, texture and premium finishing.
• Ability to create clear sketches, CADs, moodboards and design direction.
• Good understanding of yarns, knit structures, garment construction and production requirements.
• Commercial awareness and ability to design for a premium womenswear customer.
• Ability to work independently on a freelance basis and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Beneficial:

• Experience working with premium, luxury or occasion-led womenswear brands.
• Knowledge of supplier communication and sample development.
• CAD/design software skills.
