Rwrk Studio seeks a talented Garment Machinist to join the team in London.  As a Garment Machinist at Rwrk Studio, the successful applicant will be instrumental in crafting our sustainable fashion pieces, contributing their expertise to our mission of fashion with a conscience.

Responsibilities of the Garment Machinist:

  • Operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment to assemble high-end garments.
  • Interpret and follow detailed sewing patterns and instructions to produce finished products that meet our quality and design standards.
  • Perform various sewing tasks, including but not limited to stitching, seaming, and finishing garments.
  • Collaborate closely with the Garment Technician and Design Team to ensure precise execution of garment construction.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet our exacting standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancing production efficiency.
  • Provide alterations services such as fitting and sewing
  • Create CAD designs and Tech packs

What Rwrk Studio is looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Garment Machinist/Seamstress, ideally with a focus on high-end fashion and garment upcycling.
  • Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and other related equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret sewing patterns and technical instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a dynamic team.
  • A proactive approach to work and an openness to embracing new techniques and technologies in garment construction.
  • Experience in pattern cutting and grading is a plus
