R.L.E is looking for a Design Intern to support the design team throughout the cretive and production process, including assisting with research, sampling, and studio development tasks.

This is a studio-based role working closely with the with the creative and production teams, contributing and observing to each stage of the r.l.e design process—from concept development to final presentation.  Overall, this role offers an opportunity to work in and gain hands-on experience in an independent fashion brand that values craftsmanship, sustainability, and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in fabric research, sourcing, and sample organization for seasonal collections.
• Support the preparation of design sketches, mood boards, and technical drawings.
• Help manage the studio archive, including fabric swatches, trims, and design samples.
• Assist during fittings, photo shoots, and collection presentations when required.
• Support communication with production partners and suppliers regarding sampling details.
• Contribute to the documentation of collection development, including measurements and production notes.

Profile:

• Strong interest in fashion design, textiles, and garment construction.
• A minimum of basic proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Good understanding of design process and sensitivity to fabric and form.
• A passion for sustainability and craftsmanship is highly valued.
