About the Shoot Assistant role

At Hush, we’re passionate about creating beautiful, distinctive fashion content across ecommerce, campaigns, and social. We’re looking for a Shoot Assistant to join our Creative Production team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our shoots run seamlessly from start to finish.

What the Shoot Assistant will do:

• Sample Management: Owns collection sample handover, tracking and delivering samples to shoots and style outs.
• Stylist Support: Provides freelance stylists with clear sample guidance and resolves issues with Buying and Creative Production.
• Scheduling & Logistics: Books fit models and stylists, organises styling days, and ensures timing aligns with budget and critical path.
• Studio Organisation: Maintains photography sample cupboard, lighting, camera equipment, and props.
• Art Buying: Supports Head of Production by securing freelancers and talent, managing confirmations of photographers, models, stylists, and art directors.
• Ecommerce shoots: Produces shoots twice per month, booking teams, ensuring HR agreements are signed, and attending shoots to create Shop The Look data.
• Campaign & Social Shoots: Assists with pre-production, including location scouting, casting, scheduling, and call sheet distribution.
• On-Set Support: Attends all shoots, assisting with setup, sample transportation, and smooth execution.
• Casting & Negotiations: Supports Lead Creative and CCO with seasonal casting and negotiates model rates to keep Hush’s casting distinctive and competitive.

What the Shoot Assistant will bring:

• Experience in creative fashion or beauty production
• Digital asset knowledge and familiar with creation and post processes.
• Understanding of photography lighting, grading, and post-production.
• A proactive problem-solver who anticipates and resolves issues before they escalate.
• Independent and resourceful work ethic
• Ability to make strong decisions without constant supervision.
• A flexible and adaptable attitude – thrives under unexpected shoot challenges.
