Who Brodie Wants:

We are looking for an organised, passionate, team-playing Knitwear Designer who is experienced in working autonomously and taking ownership of independent projects to join our young and evolving team.

Key responsibilities of the Knitwear Designer:

  • Supporting and working with the design team to create new and exciting collections for various brands under the Brodie umbrella
  • Researching the latest trends in knitwear from various sources helping to identify key shapes, techniques and colour palettes and develop yarn, stitch and shape
  • Interpreting your research into suitable product CAD designs using Adobe Illustrator
  • Create and manage detailed design packs for the factories
  • Work closely with overseas factories and production team to ensure smooth and timely garment production
  • Adhering to the critical path and helping the team achieve deadlines in order to have the products ready for the optimum selling period
  • Attend and support in meetings with customers and our global sales agents
  • Support the Senior Designer team in meeting set ups and daily adhoc tasks

What Brodie is looking for:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a women's knitwear/design role
  • Strong CAD skills using Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent
  • Demonstrable critical path management experience.
  • Technical garment knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Factory and Production experience
  • Strong Presentation and communication skills
  • Highly organised, proactive individual who can manage several projects simultaneously
  • Strong drive to work for a growing brand/ adaptable to day-to-day tasks
