Suzanne Neville is seeking an experienced Bridal Fitter / Alterations Specialist to join our team in our boutique in Knightsbridge, London.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with one of the UK’s leading bridal designers in a luxury environment, ensuring each bride receives an exceptional and highly personal fitting experience.

The Bridal Fitter / Alterations Specialist will play a key role in guiding brides through the fitting process from measurements to final collection, ensuring every gown fits perfectly and each appointment feels calm, organised and special.  Working alongside the designer and atelier, the Bridal Fitter / Alterations Specialist will be responsible for translating each bride’s measurements and requirements into precise fitting instructions for our in-house team.

Key Responsibilities of the Bridal Fitter / Alterations Specialist

Bridal Measurements & Styling:

• Conduct bridal measurement appointments and record detailed measurements.
• Discuss and confirm any gown design details or customisations with the bride.
• Advise on accessories including veils and finishing touches.
• Communicate all fitting information clearly to the atelier for pattern and toile preparation.

Toile Fittings:

• Assist the designer during Thursday toile fitting days.
• Remeasure brides as required and support fittings to ensure a smooth appointment flow.
• Learn the Suzanne Neville fitting approach with the aim of confidently conducting toile fittings independently when required.

Dress Fittings:

• Conduct first dress fittings ensuring the experience is calm, professional and celebratory.
• Pin hems and mark alterations accurately.
• Prepare detailed alteration instructions for the in-house alteration team.

Final Fittings & Collection:

• Ensure all alterations are completed to the highest standard.
• Conduct try-on and collection appointments.
• Demonstrate how the gown is fastened and provide dressing guidance for the wedding day.

Alterations Management:

• Coordinate the alteration schedule with our in-house machinists.
• Maintain organisation of the alterations room and ensure gowns progress through fittings on time.
• Maintain exceptional standards of finish and presentation.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced bridal fitter, couture fitter or high-end alterations specialist.
• Excellent knowledge of garment construction and bridal fabrics.
• Strong fitting and pinning skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Calm, warm and professional with brides and their families.
• Able to manage multiple fittings while maintaining a luxury client experience.
