Shaku is a London-based lifestyle brand founded by designer Shakera Tayub, transforming English florals into bold, contemporary designs across fashion, accessories and home.

We are looking for a Creative & Marketing Intern to join our small, hands-on team at an exciting moment, as we prepare to launch our flagship boutique this summer and continue to grow across retail and events.

The successful applicant will be involved across multiple areas of the business, with real responsibility from the start, in a role that offers the unique opportunity to gain real, practical experience across content, design, e-commerce and brand building, working closely with the founder and a small, dynamic team.

What the Creative & Marketing Intern will be doing…

Creative & Content:

• Support end-to-end content creation, from concept and planning through to filming (if live), creating graphics, editing and publishing
• Assist with photoshoots, including styling, preparation and on-set support

Brand & Marketing:

• Execute the marketing calendar: supporting campaigns, launches, email marketing and content rollouts
• Assist with PR, influencer outreach and brand events, including the Chelsea Flower Show
• Help build and manage press, stylist and creator databases

E-Commerce:

• Update and maintain the Shopify website, including homepage content, product listings and blogs
• Resize and format imagery for use across the website and marketing channels

Brand Experience & Operations:

• Assist with order fulfilment, ensuring every customer receives a beautifully packaged, on-brand experience
• Support the team across day-to-day operations and ad hoc projects

What Shaku is looking for…

Essential:

• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• A creative eye and interest in design, fashion or interiors
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
• A self-starter who enjoys figuring things out
• Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced environment
• Takes ownership of tasks and is not afraid to ask questions
• Open, honest and willing to learn from mistakes
• Excited to contribute and make a real impact
• Based in London

Nice to Have:

• Adobe Illustrator skills
• Experience editing photography to a high standard
• Understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)

• Duration: 6 months (with potential to extend into a part-time or full-time role)

• Location: North West London (nearest underground station: Finchley Road), office-based, 5 days per week
• Salary: London Living Wage

You will be joining at a particularly exciting time for the brand, with the upcoming launch of our flagship boutique. This role offers a behind-the-scenes look at how a creative brand is brought to life — from product and content through to physical retail.  You will also be involved in selling at the Chelsea Flower Show, a world-renowned event attracting visitors from across the globe.
