We have a rare opportunity for a Social Media Manager to join our Digital team in London.  Reporting into our Head of Digital Marketing, you will own and lead Paul Smith’s global social media strategy, overseeing end-to-end channel management, content direction, and community growth across all platforms. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, managing budgets and leading a small team to drive measurable results. This role requires creativity as well as strong commercial acumen and the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with other teams.

What the Social Media Manager will be doing:

  • Own and present the annual social media strategy to senior stakeholders, including channel priorities, content pillars, growth targets, and budget allocation.
  • Lead the social media editorial calendar end-to-end and oversee all planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Brand Marketing, Press & VIP, Content and Creative teams to maintain a coherent content strategy, managing the balance between commercial and brand priorities.
  • Set and maintain the creative direction for Paul Smith’s social channels, ensuring high-quality copy, photo and video content with a consistent, recognisable brand voice across all platforms.
  • Oversee and direct on-set social content capture during campaigns, events, and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Define, track, and own channel-level KPIs, producing regular reports and performance reviews with actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Paid Performance team to ensure organic and paid social are strategically aligned, as well as to shape and deliver the influencer strategy.
  • Own Paul Smith’s platform innovation roadmap, piloting new formats, staying ahead of trends and bringing recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Own and develop strategic relationships with social media platform teams, leading on beta access, partnership opportunities, and first-to-market activations.
  • Lead and set standards for community engagement, as well as crisis management planning and response.
  • Manage relationships with freelancers and external agencies, ensuring output meets brand standards and contractual deliverables.

What Paul Smith is looking for:

  • Proven experience managing social media strategies for a fashion, lifestyle or luxury brand.
  • Strong working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest.
  • Experience with social scheduling and analytics tools, e.g. Sprout Social, Later, or similar.
  • Ability to brief and direct creative, including photography, video, and copy.
  • Confidence working cross-functionally with Buying, Marketing, and PR teams.
  • An eye for brand-appropriate content and the difference between aspirational and accessible.
  • Creative and forward-thinking, with the ability to turn ideas into impactful outcomes.
  • Ability to capture and edit brand-standard photo and video content is a plus
  • Experience with paid social or familiarity with how organic and paid strategies connect would also be a plus.
