JUJUHOME is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable Store Associate to join the team in Hackney Wick, London, on a part-time, permanent basis.
As the first point of contact for our customers, the Store Associate will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional in-store experience that reflects the JUJUHOME ethos. This will include welcoming and advising customers, maintaining the store environment, supporting day-to-day operations, and helping to drive sales through genuine product passion and expertise.
Key Responsibilities of the Store Associate
Customer Experience:
Welcome every customer with warmth and professionalism, creating a relaxed and inspiring shopping environment.
Develop an in-depth knowledge of our product range — including provenance, materials, care instructions, and styling potential — to provide genuine and informed recommendations.
Assist customers with product selection, gifting ideas, and interior styling queries, tailoring your approach to each individual.
Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints with care and professionalism, escalating to the Store Manager when appropriate.
Support online orders and any in-store fulfilment requirements.
Sales & Operations:
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, processing sales, exchanges, and returns in accordance with company policy.

Contribute to achieving individual and store sales targets by confidently upselling and cross- selling products.
Open and close the store as required, following all security and cash handling procedures.
Process incoming deliveries, check stock against purchase orders, and ensure new productis logged and displayed promptly.
Maintain accurate stock levels and carry out regular stock replenishment on the shop floor.
Assist with stocktakes and inventory counts as directed.
Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation:
Maintain the highest standards of store presentation at all times, ensuring displays are tidy, fully stocked, and visually coherent.
Assist in implementing seasonal and promotional visual merchandising changes in line with brand guidelines.
Take care when handling fragile or high-value items, and ensure safe and appropriate product placement.
Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey and product display, sharing ideas with the Senior Leadership Team.
Community & Brand Engagement:
Act as a genuine ambassador for JUJUHOME, representing the brand with enthusiasm and integrity both in-store and in the local community.
Support in-store events, product launches, and community activations as required.
Assist with content creation for social media (photography, short-form video) in collaboration with the Creative Team.
Build lasting relationships with local regulars and contribute to the store’s role as a community hub.

Essential
A genuine passion for homeware, interiors, and design-led lifestyle products.
Experience in retail, hospitality, or a customer-facing role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and approachable manner.
Strong attention to detail and a natural eye for aesthetics and presentation.
A proactive, flexible approach to work — willing to support the team across all areas of the store.
Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work weekend shifts and occasional evenings.
Comfortable working independently and using initiative when needed.
Beneficial:
Experience working in a homeware, interiors, fashion or lifestyle retail environment.
Familiarity with POS systems and basic stock management processes.
An active interest in or connection to the Hackney Wick / East London creative community.
Experience assisting with visual merchandising or styled displays.
Basic social media skills, particularly photography or short-form video content.
