People Marketing has an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, growing eyewear business based in Mortlake.  They are now looking for a Design Assistant to join and support the design team in Richmond upon Thames, London.

The company designs and develops sunglasses for both UK high street and international retail customers and is currently going through an exciting phase of expansion, offering strong long-term development opportunities.

Design Assistant - The Role:

• Support the design team across the development of seasonal sunglasses collections, from initial concept through to final development.
• Trend forecasting and researching catwalk and street style trends,
• Assisting with the organisation and management of samples and the sample room.
• Support the product development process through technical drawings, sampling, briefing packs, and regular communication with manufacturing partners in the Far East.

Eyewear Design Assistant - The Person:

• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Strong interest and passion for fashion, accessories and emerging trends
• Excellent research and trend forecasting abilities
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident in managing multiple tasks and working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when required
• Experience within accessories, fashion or eyewear design/development is a plus
