Soler London is looking for an experienced freelance Seamstress / Sample Machinist to work with our atelier team in Notting Hill, London.

We are an independent womenswear brand creating small-run, made-to-order and one-of-a-kind pieces using beautiful natural fabrics, limited-edition prints and carefully considered silhouettes. We are looking for someone highly skilled, precise, and reliable, with strong garment construction knowledge and an excellent eye for finishing.

Key Responsibilities of the Seamstress / Sample Machinist:

• Sewing and constructing women's wear garments from patterns, samples and existing Soler pieces.
• Working across made-to-order garments, small production runs, alterations and one-off client requests.
• Operating industrial sewing machines and other atelier equipment confidently and safely.
• Working with delicate and high-quality fabrics, including cotton, silk, linen, lace, georgette and printed fabrics.
• Carrying out alterations and adjustments to improve fit, including hems, side seams, bodices, sleeves and small bespoke changes.
• Paying close attention to seam allowances, finishing, pressing, stitching quality and overall garment presentation.
• Supporting the team with samples, production pieces and client orders, ensuring Soler’s quality standards are maintained.
• Working efficiently while keeping a high level of accuracy and care.
• Communicating clearly with the atelier team about technical issues, timings and possible improvements.

What Soler is looking for:

• A minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience within womenswear, luxury, bridal, bespoke or made-to-order clothing.
• Excellent sewing and garment construction skills.
• Confidence working with delicate fabrics and feminine silhouettes.
• Strong understanding of fit, proportion and garment finishing.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a small team.
• Calm, reliable, organised and detail-oriented.
• Flexible availability, depending on workload and production needs.
• A genuine appreciation for craftsmanship, quality and beautifully made clothing.
