About: We're ASOS. We blend our flair for fashion with our love of cutting- edge technology, but more importantly were interested in how we can bring the best out of you.

We exist to give people the confidence to be whoever they want to be, and that goes for our people too. At ASOS, you're free to be your true self without judgment, and channel your creativity into a platform used by millions.

ASOS is looking for a HR Shared Services Advisor to join the team in Camden.

The purpose of the HR Shared Services Advisor  is to provide employee relations support to our internal teams, including ASOS’ers and line managers.  Working within the hub, which is our immediate People Experience team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle and the implementation of business-wide people-related projects.  This is done through providing first-class generalist PX Advisor support and guidance across ASOS, ensuring a fair and consistent approach to all ASOS people policies and ways of working, in line with Company and legal requirements.  This role would suit an individual with experience working at the PX (People Experience) Advisor level, with strong ER experience, and who is used to working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, where change is constant, and flexibility is vital for success.

We believe being together in person helps us move faster, connect more deeply, and achieve more as a team. That’s why our approach to working together includes spending at least 3 days a week in the office. It’s a rhythm that speeds up decision-making, helps ASOSers learn from each other more quickly, and builds the kind of culture where people can grow, create, and succeed.

What the HR Shared Services Advisor will do:

  • Working with the hub, you will be the first point of contact for managers and ASOSers on all employee relations queries
  • Coach and guide line managers through people matters, building their confidence and capability to handle situations effectively, rather than solely providing solutions
  • Support and coach the PX hub administrators to be able to support on first-level policy support, identifying areas of improvement and upskilling where necessary
  • You will be assigned tickets, and as needed, you will support the hub through their busy periods, providing support on generic emails through the PX hub inbox
  • Act as an advisor on operational HR issues at employee and manager levels through the full people experience lifecycle
  • Ensure all advice, decisions and outcomes are aligned with UK employment law, internal policies and best practice, maintaining a fair, consistent and legally compliant approach at all times
  • Apply sound judgement when supporting decision-making, balancing people impact, risk and commercial priorities to drive outcomes that support both the business and our people
  • Support the PX Partners in providing managers with the right tools to ensure employee performance is optimised, identifying and facilitating appropriate interventions through the performance framework
  • Support on a wide range of ER related meetings as required acting as note-taker and advisor
  • Understand PX Team tools and policies, partnering with business areas to ensure best practice, whilst maintaining a pragmatic approach
  • Collaborate with PX Team COEs (centres of excellence) to help support the successful delivery on all annual processes
  • Collaborate with PX Team COEs to support the design and implementation of relevant initiatives and tools that meet business needs
  • Produce, analyse and share data to identify trends and assist with recommendations on how to address challenges and opportunities
  • Make recommendations for improving HR service delivery and support local projects and initiatives.
  • Support other Advisors and PX Partners in helping to identify people initiatives as well as implementing tools and objectives that will deliver results across the performance year.
  • Take ownership of your role in driving the delivery of key People Experience Team projects and support the wider team with projects
  • Take a proactive approach to professional development for yourself and others, using internal and external networks and resources to advance and share knowledge
  • Be an ambassador for the People Experience team
  • Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

What ASOS is looking for:

  • Experience within an HR function at Advisor level.
  • Working knowledge and experience of a variety of HR areas, including recruitment, reward, L&D, employee relations, and change management
  • Experience in building relationships with stakeholders
  • Confidence to challenge where appropriate
  • Experience of applying best practice to people issues
  • Highly numerate with good attention to detail
  • Team player who works collaboratively for the success of the wider team
  • Deals with confidential information with tact and diplomacy, 100% discreet
  • Confident communicator, comfortable communicating with all levels
  • Able to manage own emotions in the face of pressure, setbacks, or dealing with challenging situations
  • Excellent organisational skills, always meeting deadlines
  • Happy to deal with ambiguity, fluid situations and changing deadlines
  • Able to balance priorities with the ability to handle the day-to-day workload as well as project support
  • Proactive approach to understanding ASOS and the areas you support
  • CIPD level 3–5 is a plus

BeneFITS:

  • Employee discount (hello ASOS discount!)
  • Employee sample sales
  • 25 days paid annual leave + an extra celebration day for a special moment
  • Fixed Annual Payment in addition to your salary each year, it's just an extra thank you from us
  • Private medical care scheme
  • Opportunity for personalised learning and in-the-moment experiences that enable you to thrive and excel in your role.
