Where the Brand Designer sits

As our Designer, you’ll be part of the creative & editorial team working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into Head of Brand Design & Identity. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.

Where the Brand Designer will contribute

The Brand Designer sits within the Brand Creative Studio, supporting the creation, evolution and application of the brand’s visual identity and design systems. This role sits close to the craft of brand building. Working alongside Senior Brand Designer lead and Head of Brand design, you’ll help develop and apply core identity elements, extend our brand identity into new product and proposition areas, shape and build modular design systems for campaign and content and kick start global toolkits that enable the brand to show up consistently and confidently across campaigns, channels, and markets. It’s a hands-on role for a designer who’s excited by identity thinking, systems, and how brands scale beautifully in the real world.

What the Brand Designer will be responsible for:

  • Support the development and evolution of brand identity by assisting with layouts, graphic devices, typography and visual systems.
  • Contribute to design systems by building and refining modular templates and components for consistent use across all channels.
  • Help create brand and campaign toolkits, including layouts, examples, artwork and guidance for global and local teams.
  • Apply brand identity across touchpoints (ecommerce, CRM, social, retail, presentations) ensuring consistency and clarity.
  • Collaborate within the studio while maintaining high craft standards—paying attention to detail, responding to feedback, and supporting work with research and inspiration.

What Dr. Martens is looking for…

  • Brings creative energy, curiosity and openness—contributing early ideas, references and inspiration to help shape strong creative direction.
  • Has a solid foundation in graphic design, with a clear interest in brand identity, visual systems and scalable design.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with additional capability in Figma and component-based design preferred.
  • Understands how design systems and guidelines ensure consistency across channels, markets and touchpoints.
  • Shows strong attention to detail, alongside a collaborative mindset and accountability for managing deadlines, deliveries and proactively flagging risks.
