About: Cybersweetie is a London-based fashion house specializing in unique occasion wear, defined by limited-run collections and artisanal craftsmanship. The brand occupies a space between fairytale femininity and modern confidence, creating "character-driven" pieces designed for the grand entrance. With a focus on high-end textiles and a rapidly expanding global community, Cybersweetie translates high-concept aesthetics into a modern, commerce-led fashion ecosystem.

Cybersweetie is looking for a part-time Fashion Design Assistant to join the team in London.

This role is initially offered on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position based on performance and mutual fit.

What the Fashion Design Assistant will be doing:

  • Design original luxury occasionwear and eveningwear, developing creative concepts from initial inspiration through to final production.
  • Explore vintage fashion, historical costume, art, culture and emerging trends to inform seasonal collections and new design ideas.
  • Create unique silhouettes, garment details, colour stories and embellishment concepts that reflect the Cybersweetie aesthetic.
  • Produce hand sketches, digital fashion illustrations, technical CADs and garment specifications to clearly communicate designs to manufacturers.
  • Develop detailed tech packs, including construction details, measurements, trim placements and embellishment layouts.
  • Design embroidery, hand-beading, appliqué and other decorative finishes suitable for luxury manufacturing.
  • Partner closely with the Founders and Head of Product Development to refine concepts and bring collections to life.
  • Communicate directly with overseas manufacturers, embroidery specialists and suppliers throughout sampling and production.
  • Coordinate the development process from initial design and material selection through sampling, prototype reviews and pre-production approval.
  • Assess prototypes, embroidery samples and strike-offs, providing precise feedback to ensure exceptional quality and accurate execution.
  • Attend fittings, evaluate fit, construction and finish, and recommend design or technical refinements where needed.
  • Source and research new fabrics, trims, embellishment techniques and craftsmanship methods to support future collections.
  • Keep design files, development records and seasonal research organised and up to date.
  • Work collaboratively across design and product development to balance creativity, quality, manufacturability and commercial viability.

What Cybersweetie is looking for:

  • Degree in Fashion Design or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating luxury occasionwear or eveningwear design.
  • Excellent hand sketching and Adobe Illustrator skills.
  • Ability to create accurate technical CADs, garment specifications and tech packs.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern cutting and luxury manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of embroidery, hand beading and embellishment techniques.
  • Excellent colour, fabric and trim selection skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple developments simultaneously.
  • Confident communicating directly with overseas manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Highly creative with exceptional attention to detail and a genuine passion for luxury fashion.
