The Role

We have an opportunity for an E–Commerce Partnership Executive to join our growing team. Working closely with the Senior Strategic Partner Manager, you will help maximise the value, performance and growth of our key retail partners, ensuring relationships are managed to the highest standard while delivering commercial success for both the Club and its partners.

Senior Strategic Partner Manager with retail partner relationships; Fanatics  and JD; and build best in class processes, right from delivery, reporting, stock control, budget management, relationship building and renewal practices. Work closely with E-commerce partners to ensure products and  customer experience aligns with club retail strategy.

The Person

You must have demonstrable experience of managing multiple client accounts, preferably in a sponsorship or e - commerce environment taking pride in relationship management and developing long-lasting, successful partnerships.

You will have proven experience delivering projects and events, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and ensuring deadlines are met. With a proactive and process-driven approach, you will be confident analysing data, producing reports and identifying opportunities to improve performance and create value for partners.

You must be able to work flexible hours as the Club requires, this will include matchday working and events as and when required. You must hold a UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and / or the ability to travel between our Club sites; Villa Park, London Office and Bodymoor Heath Training Ground.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities of the E-Commerce Partnerships Executive

Retail Partnerships:

  • Own, maintain and develop retail partnerships; coordinate weekly status meetings and deliver  monthly status reports to each account
  • Work with the Senior Strategic Partner Manager to understand the efficiency and profitability 
  • margins of each partner
  • Keep up to date with marketing and sponsorship trends/news and proactively present ideas regularly  to partners, effectively working as an extension of their marketing team/agency
  • Support the Senior Strategic Partner Manager to ensure owned partner accounts are being 
  • successfully managed, rights are utilised, and relationships with partners remain strong
  • Coordination with key stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure day-to-day maintenance of 
  • accounts is conducted in an efficient and timely manner, and to make appropriate recommendations  to the Senior Strategic Partner Manager where necessary
  • Work with internal departments and external agencies to ensure that all Partner activities are captured and measured in the form of partner case studies. Track activations, demonstrate  successes and provide constructive feedback to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support Senior Strategic Partner Manager in developing a series of events to engage partners and  encourage cross-partnership collaborations and learnings
  • Ensure team shared documents are kept up to date, including: rights utilisation tracker, invoice  tracker, stock management and partnership payment schedule

E-Commerce:

  • Build joint business plans with partners to drive revenue, visibility, and category growth across all  platforms.
  • Ensure all products are accurately listed and fully optimised with correct RRP, descriptions, imagery,  and compliance information across all partner websites.
  • Plan, manage, and track online promotions, seasonal campaigns, and exclusive launches, providing 
  • performance insights and improvements.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance, inventory movement, and traffic across platforms, delivering weekly and monthly reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Champion a seamless omnichannel customer experience, working alongside key stakeholders to provide a frictionless experience across all touchpoints.
  • Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which your line manager or another senior manager at the club asks you to perform.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Safeguarding by adhering to relevant policies, procedures and values  relating to safeguarding children and adults at risk

What Aston Villa Football Club is looking for…

Essential

  • Demonstratable experience of managing multiple client accounts, preferably in a sponsorship or e-commerce environment with a pride for relationship management
  • Ability to build relationships and with strong networking skills
  • Proven experience of delivering projects and events
  • Process driven with strong analytical and research skills
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced commercial environment under pressure whilst managing  multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to follow key trends and apply them and integrate them into a strategic approach
  • Possession of level of gravitas with ability to confidently present business cases to senior  management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills which are clear, concise, and accurate to  internal/external stake holders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Good attention to detail and takes responsibility for the accuracy of their work
  • Work flexible hours, this will include matchday working and events as and when required 
  • UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and the ability to travel between our Club sites: Villa Park,  London Office and Bodymoor Heath Training Ground.

Beneficial:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Proven experience working within a similar Relationship Executive/Account role
  • Ability to produce reports focused on stock control, budget management and retail data.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-driven within a team structure but also work together as part of a team to achieve a common goal
