Life’s a Beach is looking for a freelance fashion Content Creator to help develop a regular stream of distinctive social and campaign content.
Life’s a Beach is an iconic surf, skate and streetwear brand with roots in 1980s counterculture. We are building the next generation of the brand while retaining the raw, irreverent and culturally authentic character that made it distinctive.
We are looking for someone who understands fashion, street culture, surf, skate, music and social media, and can turn products, archive material, graphics and campaign ideas into strong visual content.
Aesthetic direction: Authentic, energetic, graphic and culturally credible. The content should feel rooted in surf/skate/street culture rather than overly polished corporate fashion.
Responsibilities of the Content Creator include:
- Creating Instagram posts, carousels, Reels and TikTok content
- Developing product and launch content
- Editing short-form video
- Creating campaign edits and motion assets
- Working with archive imagery and heritage material
- Creating graphic-led social content
- Repurposing existing assets into multiple formats
- Developing ideas around collaborations and cultural moments
- Supporting launches and product drops
- Working with designers and the wider content/growth team
- Using AI tools where appropriate without making the brand feel generic or artificial
What BrandLabX is looking for:
- A strong fashion/streetwear content portfolio
- Good understanding of surf, skate, music and street culture
- Strong image and video editing skills
- Good visual taste and typography
- Experience creating content for Instagram and TikTok
- Ability to work quickly across multiple formats
- Photoshop, Premiere, CapCut, After Effects or similar
- AI image/video experience is advantageous
