We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Print Designer to join our Phase Eight team on a 12-month Maternity Contract.  Focusing on our Occasion and Ready to Wear collection, you'll design and creatively develop unique print artworks.
 
What the Print Designer will do:

• Research and forecast print trends relevant to our Phase Eight customer to create seasonal mood boards and colour palettes.
• Develop and refine original artworks using both hand-drawing and digital skills.
• Collaborating closely with the wider design team to ensure our prints align with our brand's vision.
• Managing the end-to-end design process, from sending out print packs and colour standards to suppliers to ensuring all prints are delivered on time and within budget.
• Visiting stores and attending shows to gather inspiration and valuable customer feedback.

What Phase Eight is looking for:

• A skilled Print Designer and creative problem-solver.
• Experience within print design
• Highly skilled in hand drawing and painting with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Knowledgeable about print production within the fashion/retail space, including how to prepare files for both screen and digital printing.
• Strong understanding and experience of engineered and placement print techniques
• Proactive and collaborative when working within a team dynamic, eager to contribute to our Phase Eight brand creative vision.
• A strong understanding of the fashion/retail market within print design, with an eye on both aspirational and competitive brands.
• Occasion and Ready-to-Wear print design experience is a plus.
