People Marketing is recruiting an experienced, trend-led Designer with a background in the licensed apparel market to join a team on the Derbyshire-Leicestershire border.

The Licensed Apparel Designer will cover a broad range of categories, including nightwear, daywear, swimwear and rainwear, across both childrenswear and adult apparel.

Licensed Apparel Designer – The Role

• Design and develop trend-led, commercially focused collections for supermarkets, high street retailers and online customers.
• Create licensed graphic and print concepts, ensuring all designs adhere to brand guidelines and licensing requirements.
• Research emerging trends and market developments to identify new design opportunities.
• Ensure designs are commercially viable and aligned with customer requirements.
• Work closely with internal teams to develop and build successful product ranges.
• Present collections, design concepts and new product ideas to retail customers.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with buyers.

Licensed Apparel Designer – The Person:

• Experience in a similar design role within the licensed apparel market
• Strong graphic design skills, with excellent proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Full, unrestricted Right to Work in the UK – unfortunately, the client is unable to consider candidates requiring visa sponsorship or applying on a Graduate visa.
• A full driving licence and access to your own transport  – the head office is located on the Derbyshire/Leicestershire border.
• Experience using AI tools within the design process is advantageous.
• Knowledge of garment construction and fabrics would be advantageous.
