The purpse of the role is to assist Store Manager to exceed store targets by supporting in the recruitment, development and leadership of the team; to ensure the team are reaching their full potential, maximising sales and delivering exceptional customer service in line with wider business initiatives. Helping to maintain exceptional store standards and taking on all Store Manager responsibilities within the branch in their absence. Contribute to new and innovative solutions to drive sales and customer service levels bespoke to the market to deliver profitability through effective team management and communication.

Requirements

Selling and Outstanding Customer Service:

Commercial and Strategic Awareness:

  • Contributes to the interpretation of data to pinpoint risk versus opportunities and takes action

  • Assists the Branch Manager in merchandising the collection in a visually exciting way to increase footfall and drive sales whilst remaining in line with visual guidelines

Omni-channel business:

  • Drives all Omni-channel options with individually or with other members of management team in store to provide items anytime, anywhere and constantly drive new business through Sign ups and links transactions to customer profiles
  • Promote the brand, products and all Hobbs Omni-channel services at all times through customer interactions and an awareness of wider company service strategies 

Branch Operations:

  • Ensures that the sales floor is replenished at all times
  • Supports manager to ensure staff are adequately trained and competent with till, banking and cash handling procedures
  • Assists the Branch Manager in managing all stock control and delivery procedures in the branch
  • Assists the Branch Manager in ensuring immaculate presentation of branch in terms of cleanliness and tidiness and that the back of house also meets the standards expected
  • Assists the Branch Manager in scheduling staffing to provide adequate cover whilst remaining within payroll budgets
  • Ensures adherence at all times to company security procedures and policies, maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all regulations under the Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Ensures that all company administrative work is dealt with accurately and within set deadline
  • Manages till systems to ensure correct use by self and team
  • Manages all stock control and delivery procedures in the branch
  • Ensures immaculate presentation of branch in terms of cleanliness and tidiness and that the back of house also meets model store standards
  • Able to provide informed decisions, based on the analysis of detailed store records, including expenditure reports, sales figures and key employee performance indicators
  • Implements, maintains and manages effective and efficient operational processes, procedures and administration; leading by example in the management of all aspects of operational compliance including stock loss management, health and safety, people management administration - time and attendance; ensure team adhere to all aspects of operational compliance
  • Responsible for authorising and processing post-void transactions, authorising promotional discounts and employee discount sales
  • Extensive knowledge of company policies, procedures and processes
  • To manage all Financial, Operational, Commercial and People development aspects of your site to drive ‘Success’ across all brands and teams
  • To manage relationship with Store Manager to ensure clear communication channels are developed and supported
