Purpose of the role: 

  • To support the store to achieve sales and KPI targets
  • Efficiently and confidently able to process delivery and new product lines ready to be taken to the shopfloor
  • Efficiently and confidently able to put through transactions
  • Follows and actions store stockroom tasks accurately  

 
Accountabilities:

  • Effectively process DEFROST (online) orders and returns 
  • Effectively and efficiently pick and pack online items from shopfloor or stockroom to process for online orders 
  • Accurately price items when item price changes come through from head office 
  • Support visual team in processing new product lines ready to be placed on the shopfloor 
  • Support with delivery and replenishment process to enable new lines and best sellers to be showcased on the shop floor as soon as possible 
  • Support with organisation and product placement in the stockroom enable new lines and best sellers to be effectively sourced to be run onto the onto the shop floor
  • Work as part of a team as well as independently in order to improve personal development
  • Take part in all offered training programs/sessions 
  • Follow all health and safety rules at all times to enable a healthy and safe working environment
  • Follow all store policies and procedures and confidently highlight any issues or concerns to line manager
  • Follow all loss prevention procedures and highlight any risk of loss to the business to the line manager
  • Always aware of the store stockroom tasks and goals to be achieved for the day 
  • Comes up with great ideas to drive the success of operations in the store
  • Know the bestselling stock and is able to replenishment and highlight when they arrive back into store 
  • Identify new lines arrival in delivery and highlights this to the managers, team mates and visual merchandising team
  • Consistently follows operational rules and procedures and keeps in line with the health and safety policy at all times
  • Always offering fantastic customer service to encourage return custom if ever on the shop floor

 
Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Ability to keep calm in an emergency situation and highlights activity to the nearest line manager
  • Always works as a part of a team and offering support to fellow team members in need
  • Available to work stocktakes to ensure the store has an accurate and productive count each season
  • Able to work with the visual team to support with product launches to ensure that new stock is readily available and old stock is filed and or transferred away for storage as per store best practise
  • Able to adapt behaviour dependant on store pace and business demands 
  • Able to offer contractive and tactful suggestions to the Operational Manager to support with best practice in stockroom

Critial skills:

  • Basic numeracy and English literacy

 
Beneficial:

  • Preferably 3 months retail experience, but not essential
