The Role of Supervisor

We're looking for a friendly, motivated Supervisor to join our team at our new Kings Road, Chelsea, London store. This role is all about delivering exceptional customer service, building genuine connections with customers, and creating a welcoming in-store experience that reflects our brand values — while also taking a lead role in the day-to-day running of the store.

As a Supervisor, you'll be the face of the store — supporting customers throughout their journey, maintaining high visual standards, and contributing to a positive, high-performing team environment. You'll act as a keyholder and take full responsibility for the store, including opening and closing, on the Manager's days off.

Key Responsibilities of the Supervisor:

  • Provide outstanding, personalised customer service and product advice, leading by example for the wider team
  • Act as a keyholder, taking responsibility for securely opening and closing the store
  • Take charge of day-to-day store operations and team management on the Manager's days off
  • Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat visits and brand loyalty
  • Drive sales by understanding customer needs and confidently recommending products, supporting the team to hit targets
  • Maintain excellent store presentation, including merchandising and stock organisation
  • Process transactions accurately using the POS system, and oversee till reconciliation and cash-handling procedures
  • Support and oversee stock deliveries, replenishment, and inventory checks
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, including security responsibilities, as required
  • Support and help lead in-store events, trunk shows, and special shopping evenings
  • Coach, motivate and support the team to work collaboratively and achieve store targets and KPIs
  • Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day issues or escalations in the Manager's absence

What Otiumberg is looking for:

  • At least 2 years' experience working in a sales or customer service role for a fashion or jewellery retailer or similar business, ideally including experience as a keyholder, supervisor, or in another leadership capacity
  • Available on Saturdays and/or Sundays
  • Comfortable acting as a keyholder and taking full responsibility for the store in the Manager's absence
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong communication skills
  • A genuine interest in people and delivering great customer experiences
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and some evenings for events and trunk shows
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A proactive team player who takes initiative and can confidently lead and support others

What Otiumberg offers:

  • The opportunity to open and shape a landmark boutique for an established and growing designer brand
  • A collaborative, creative team with a strong sense of shared purpose
  • A beautifully positioned boutique in one of London’s most sought-after retail destinations
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Generous staff discount
  • Genuine scope for progression as the brand continues to grow

If you're passionate about creating beautiful things while making a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you.
